It's great to take notes during a call or meeting, but nothing beats having the ability to go back and rewatch a vital piece of information. FreeConference can send you an MP3 recording and a playback dial-in number for any meeting.
The recording feature is available with any of our paid Plans, which can be purchased via the 'Upgrade' section of your account: UPGRADE
How to Record During a Meeting
*Please note: In order to make sure your call is recorded, you must dial in using the moderator pin*
Record by Phone: To record during a phone call, all you have to do is press *9. By pressing *9, you can start and stop recording.
Record by Web: You can find the recording button on the menu at the bottom of your Online Meeting Room. To start or pause a recording – click on 'RECORD,' and you should see a red recording button to assure the recording has begun.
Automatic recording will begin once there are at least two (2) participants present in your meeting.
Automatically record ALL your meetings
Visit the 'Settings' section of your account and select 'Recording' from the menu that appears on the left-hand side. Just check the box to automatically record audio and hit save. All newly scheduled calls and all on-demand conferences will now be recorded by default.
*NOTE: Be aware that changing this setting will NOT impact any calls you have already scheduled with your account. If you want to ensure calls already scheduled are recorded by default, you will need to delete and then re-book those meetings.
Automatically record only scheduled meetings
check the box next to 'Automatically record audio' in either the 'Premium' or 'Standard FREE' section and then Schedule your call as normal. You can check if your call has been set to record in the 'Upcoming' calls section. If you see 'Record Audio' visible in the top left then your call is set to record.
With this feature activated, recording will be automatically initiated once there are at least two participants in your conference. When callers join the conference they will also hear a voice prompt informing them that the call is being recorded. It is also possible to pause and restart the recording during a scheduled call if you wish.
*NOTE: Please be sure that participants do not call in more than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the call, otherwise a new conference will be started and it will not automatically record.
Where to find your recordings:
An mp3 link will be sent to you as a result of recording your meeting. YOUR DETAILED CALL SUMMARY EMAIL INCLUDES the MP3 download link and Telephone Playback information for the recording. You can find your recordings by clicking on the menu bar on your home screen's top right-hand corner.
You can also access and listen to your recordings when viewing "Past Conferences."
